PREFACE
———————————————
Many factors come into play when attempting to heightmaxx, and I may make a thread about it in the future but this thread is primarily about lifestyle. It should also be noted that this guide is mostly for the benefit of those with open growth plates.
INTRODUCTION
———————————————
When trying to increase your height, it is essential that you maintain the correct lifestyle. Even in the event that you use drugs to try to increase height, these will functionally only work if you are already eating and training properly.
SO, WHAT IS THE OPTIMAL LIFESTYLE?
DIET:
When heightmaxxing, diet is the single most important aspect of ascending. To explain the nutrition goals for heightmaxxing is this: eat a balanced but copious diet. You should be on lean bulk mode all the time. Make sure to of course eat protein, fats, and carbs, but do not neglect micronutrients as these are also necessary for growth and development.
Good sources of protein for heightmaxxing include red meat, eggs, and raw or whole fat dairy. This is because of the high levels of cholesterol and hormones found in them. Other protein is still protein and you should eat it when you have the chance though.
Good sources of fat include butter, fatty meats, and certain oils. You want to look for saturated fat, which though it isn’t good for longevity and thus is not recommended by the health industry, it is extremely beneficial for development. Also make sure to get omega 3 fatty acids, which are beneficial for joint health and cardiovascular health.
Good sources of carbohydrates include sweet potatoes, rice, and fruits and starch vegetables.
You should avoid processed carbs as these are terrible for you and are packed with industrial estrogens.
Fruits are good and should be consumed in moderation as well, because these are a source of natural sugars, which can tell your body to produce IGF-1 (a hormone needed for growth).
Other micronutrients are important and can be consumed through whole foods as well as supplements. I personally take a bone support stack that includes vitamins D3 and MK7 K2, as well as magnesium, calcium, and zinc. Your bones bones make up your frame and are obviously what constitutes your height. These supplements also have the benefit of growing the bones in your face.
Of course, there are many other supplements that have been known to help with height, but I can write about them in a different thread.
TRAINING:
To start this off, it must be stated that the “weightlifting stunts your growth” argument is technically false, but I still wouldn’t recommend heavy squats and deadlifts in a heightmaxxing routine for the following reason:
They compress your spine, like A LOT. Do some dead hanging after a set of deadlifts and you’ll see what I mean.
I do recommend simply staying active through sports or activities. Sprinting has been proven to temporarily increase your HGH (human growth hormone) levels by up to 400%, and if you play a sport such as soccer, baseball, or track, you’ll be doing a lot of that.
In addition to sports, you can also do calisthenics and weighted exercises, so long as they aren’t super high impact or hard on your back. Things like pull-ups, decline push ups, and Bulgarian split squats are some good suggestions. A proven method is developed by looksmaxxer “Brae”:
calisthenics/weighted calisthenics primarily, along with sports and sprints. Don’t do all of these in a single day, just make sure to do some form of activity every day (why you should keep things less high impact).
Finally, stretching. Stretches such as dead hangs, tadasana, cat and cow, and touching your toes are all beneficial. For more information check out:

RECOVERY:
Your body needs sleep to grow. You already know that you need to sleep 8+ hours, so first things first make it a habit to do that. Next, understand that you must set a circadian rhythm. This can let your body go through all the stages of sleep, letting you wake up refreshed. An example is 10pm-6am, or 11pm-7am.
Random sleep tips:
-Generally people sleep better in a cold room.
-Also, you will have the best sleep without sensory stimuli, so consider a sleep mask and/or ear plugs.
-Use snoring strips in combination with mouth tape, this combo will have you breathing through your nose.
-Try out no pillow or even no mattress, it is better for posture. -Do not consume caffeine past midday, and consider swapping coffee for green tea.
-Use substances to fall asleep faster, generally things that lower cortisol help such as ashwaganda, lemon balm, chamomile, lavender, etc.
-Melatonin is ok but it’s not really a sedative and not ideal in the long term.
Feel free to point out key points I missed
Should I make a thread about heightmaxxing using substances?
