A guide to help fix acne:
I had acne for 3 years and despite going to a dermatologist repeatedly, it always seemed to get worse. I was prescribed countless oral medication such as Erythromycin which i was on 1000mg a day and also many different medicated creams such as Epiduo and Duac, however i see mixed opinions on those creams so it may be that it didn't work for me. Despite all the things my dermatologist got me to use and try, my acne continued to get worse and it got to the point I had enough and decided to figure out my own way on how to fix it. It is a pretty simple way so I am shocked I didn't know this sooner as many of you probably know all this already but just in case someone doesn't, here you go.
ACCUTANE IS THE BEST FIX SO TRY GO ON THAT- Unlucky for me i was denied Accutane but luckily i barely scarred however in many cases until Accutane, scars get worse.
Skin Type- First figure out your skin type for example: normal, oily, combination, dry, sensitive
After that get a skin cleanser that specifies which skin type it is for, be careful for ingredients that are bad for skin such as Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate which is highly comedogenic, causing clogged pores. If you do not know how to check products I recommend this site:

After cleansing (Morning)- In the morning what helped my acne clear up was only washing my face with lukewarm water in the shower. After that you must use a moisturizer which like a cleanser, must be right for your skin type. This step is important because if you get a heavy moisturizer when you have oily skin, it will just make your pores more clogged leading to further breakouts. I would also check the moisturizer you choose to ensure it is non-comedogenic. After moisturizing, you must use SPF. Use one that protects from make sure it is SPF50+ and pa++++
If you have quite obvious dark scars, or if you are quite pale in general, you can use a tinted SPF. I recommend La Roche-Posay, but if you want to use a different one just make sure it isn't comedogenic.
After cleansing (Night)- First, brush your teeth. I feel like some people would wash their face before brushing their teeth but it can cause spots around your mouth. Then, use your cleanser to wash your face, when rubbing it on your face, rub softly and in circular motions. Also, if you have used tinted SPF in the day i would say double cleanse at night. Once your face has been washed, use a moisturizer and let it absorb before you go to bed.
Things people miss- I already mentioned washing your face After brushing your teeth is important, but also after washing your hair as well.
Scars- To fix scars, CO2 Laser mogs or micro-needling but not 0.5mm, go deeper. If hyperpigmentation is also an issue, azelaic acid will help but I would say try get 15-20% for best results. I was also using a red light mask for 20 minutes a day 4 days a week however I am not sure if it actually works.
Side note- If you are worried about having scars, try to get on Accutane as fast as possible because it can't fix old scars but once you are on it, it will prevent new scars from forming. I would say Accutane is the best way to prevent acne however I was going to my dermatologist for 3 years and still he denied Accutane so I had to figure out my own way how to fix it properly since all the other pills and medicated cream I was given never worked, and I would even say it made more scars.
A lot of people say GHK-Cu is another very good way to fix it, however I am pretty sure applying it topically regardless of derma rolling does not work, so if you try GHK-Cu, inject it. With that being said I never tried it so don't take my advice on it.
