Serious What dentists and maxillofacial surgeons said about my face

I went to dentists because I have minor crowding. I asked a lot of questions to them.

Q1> Is my maxilla recessed, projected or average?
Ans - No, it's not recessed. It's average but the arch is narrow.

Q2> Is my mandible recessed?
Ans - No

They gave me several options for fixing my minor crowding, but none of them were bone related. I asked them, "Will an expander work?"
Since I'm 17, they said my sutures are probably closed, it might just lead to minor results and then told me to get an xray. I submitted it, the doctor will call me in like 12 hours from now on.

I added, if an expander won't work, will MARPE? They said no since my suture is closed and even if it does I shouldn't get it. This kind of annoyed me.
Overall, knowing that my maxilla is not projected, I have crowding and shi, hearing from a doctor that my maxilla is done growing destroyed any cope I had. I was left feeling depressed, I still am.

Weird, I know that if the sutures are closed they can still drill your palate to weaken it so that the MARPE can actually split the maxilla properly. You should ask them for that.

Or even just a side profile. I was just asking cause I’m curious to see if a professional’s opinion on what’s recessed or not would differ for example from what people on here say

They said I'll be able to achieve a skeletal expansion of ~5mm (please tell me if this will make a difference) and the rest will just be skeletal expansion. They're coupling IPEs with regular invisalign. What do you guys think?

Weird, I know that if the sutures are closed they can still drill your palate to weaken it so that the MARPE can actually split the maxilla properly. You should ask them for that.

5mm of expansion is better than none at least

My dad is funding it, He's also funding IPEs. I'm so grateful. Though, I'm not sure about the results. I know my crowding WILL be fixed but I wanted my maxilla to expand as well. The doctor said it can expand 5-7mm. Is that enough? @Randomized Apologies for tagging you but I read your thread about teeth. You seem knowledgeable. Can you give your overall opinion on my case and help a n***a out?

It is? They said it won't have that much of an impact on my facial aesthetics, just enough expansion for my teeth to find space in my mouth.
