LEFORT alone can't fix all the mid face recession?

Lefort is the sector of it that fixes your midface projection
But once you move that forward you move your lower jaw along with it (BSSO)

[changfromkk]

No

what abt that

So if you have midface recession is it better to do lefort two? Or will trimax still solve the issue. Specifically my mouth looks too far back relative to my jaw and chin

[changfromkk]

Do you mean complementary? It is complementary

i wanted to say that would bsso alone fix the lower third - or we needed genio too

It depends bro
Some people have recessed mandibles with projected chins they wouldnt need genios
If both your mandible and chin are recessed then both would be ideal

SOMEONE MARK ME SOLUTION BRO

[genio]

what extra benefit would someone get if he adds genio with bsso?

genio = chin
Bsso = entire mandibular body

Im trying to figure out if it’s better to do lefort I or lefort II for my case. This is the effect im trying to achieve, basically i want to move the bone under my philtrum and Paranasal area forwards. I’ll also attach my lateral ceph. Does ccw make your philtrum shorter?

Get a lefort 2 trimax for best results

[plasty]

No decently reputable surgeon would ever preform a lefort 2 for your case. atp just either get trimax with custom IOM implants (with someone like eppley). Or if your infraorbital is fine and has lots of fat you could get a high cut or even quadrangular lefort, but that makes it a lot harder to do implants in cheeks or infraorbitals later.
