I don't know the difference between anime and manga

I watched Cardcaptor Sakura in 2003. Just enjoyed their look, understood nothing. I was just 5. Don't know if it's anime or manga. I was just obsessed with girls.

In 2006 I watched Ranma ½ where a man turns into woman. Interesting storyline. Again don't know whether it's anime or manga.

In 2013 I watched Hayate No Gotoku. Male protagonist was cute. Female characters were all so attractive. He had a crush on all females. It was indeed anime.

I have seen lots of anime in TV but these 3 shows stand out in my mind.
