In 7th grade I used to be really ugly. We were a group of people gathered around a round table bench. Some ppl were sitting and some standing behind. I was standing behind one of the kindest guys in that school. He was always nice to me and I swear he would never hurt a fly.

He opened his phone, went on snapchat and took a picture of himself and me behind his shoulder. Then he looked at the picture and exclaimed something like “ew no” and deleted the pic. He the immediately started apologising to me and I could tell that he felt embarrassed and was truly sorry.

But how brutal is it when someone who is genuinely a kind person accidentally show you their genuine disgust towards you. Same thing as when kids used to walk by me and ask their parents “whats that guy doing?” (im female). Their raw, innocent but insulting opinion about you. You know theyre not exaggerating anything, trying to make fun, or trying to get social points by mocking you like regular insults. Theyre not just trying to be mean.

People would yell insults to me from across the street or hallway, mock my 2 friends for associating with me, call me names, etc. But all that naturally is so much more exaggerated by factors outside of their genuine opinion. Yet in 7th grade I always felt way worse by this kind of friend group impressing bullying than kind peoples raw opinion slipping out on accident, and I dont know why because the latter is definitely more brutal.

Because anyone can be bullied, disgust is saved for people ostracized by society.

why
I've seen decent looking people get bullied before
but only ugly n*****s get treated with disgust and pity
I feel like you dnr my post
I agree with you that disgust is more brutal, but I always felt way worse from bullying. So my question was; how can bullying feel worse when its like you say, anyone can be bullied but only uglies get treated with disgust and pity?

I suppose it's different for different people
I would assume it's because it's more direct, the person goes out of their way to make you feel bad instead of indirectly

I always felt terrible about bullying because not being accepted and not being "allowed" in social circles is the most brutal feeling ever.

People who may have never interacted with you before feel you're below them simply because it's accepted to think that way. I've never been properly bullied before, but I've joined in on making fun of the class victim, shits disgusting and I regret it.
