would this theory work?

sleeping like this would make gravity move your maxilla forward and also drag you tongue to the roof your mouth, would it be better to sleep like this?

Yes it would work, but your face would swell, and you might suffocate if not monitored. I personally get up after every 1 hour.
So practically sleeping like this at night is impossible.
You should consciously position yourself like that and remain like that whenever you are reading a book or checking your phone.

What about convexion? Remember you still have to shut your mouth, and you can't reverse damage that have been already taken
