So i'm currently injecting cerebrolysin intramuscularly to heal my brain from 3 years of boxing.

And a few days ago i accidentally forgot aspirating during a dorsal glute injection and there were a lot of tiny bubbles in the syringe.
Immediately after injecting i felt unusually tired and even 4 days after i still have a tiny lingering headache but no major neurological symptoms, thankfully.

There is this harmful recommendation from the world health organization that aspirating your injections is no longer deemed neccessary in quad and glute injections specifically and has no safety benefits.

I will i tell you that according to a study i will find and link later, in about 20% of aspirated lateral quad injection and in about 40% of aspirated glute injections blood was drawn.

That means if no aspiration was performed at least every fifth of those quad injections and nearly every second glute injection would have ended up in a major blood vessel.

This can ofc have serious consequences like embolic brain damage, strokes, heart attacks, local tissue necrosis, and hematoma.

So don't listen to that retarded WHO guideline.
And if ur already mentally ill enough to perform an IM injection, which in the EU only doctors themselves are allowed to do btw, ALWAYS aspirate, especially if you are injecting oil based stuff.

And only inject into the quads, glutes and delts, as they are by far the safest sites with the least likelyhood to hit a nerve or blood vessel.

Aspirate, turn the syringe one quarter of the way and then aspirate again as the bare minimum.
