Atrazine is a kind of triazine herbicide that is widely used for weed control due to its good weeding effect and low price.

Risk and sides?
Atrazine is also well known as a hormone disruptor that has been linked to birth defects and cancer in humans, and contamination of ground-, surface- and drinking-water supplies. About 70 million pounds of atrazine are used in the United States each year.

Where do you find atrazine?
- Atrazine is present in water levels much higher than are needed to kill frogs and others amphibians, whose populations are currently in steep decline across the United States. Numerous studies have shown that atrazine chemically castrates and feminizes male frogs at concentrations lower than the level allowed in drinking water by the EPA.

A 2009 study, for example, found a significant correlation between prenatal atrazine exposure (primarily from the drinking water consumed by pregnant women) and reduced body weight in newborns. Low birth weight is associated with an increased risk of illness in infants and conditions such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes. (Copied from an article, so can't find the study).

How to avoid Atrazine?
- Purchase a water filter to remove atrazine from your drinking water and it's best to have your own organic production to keep atrazine out of your house and out of the environment. Remember to wash your veggies in an highly alkaline Ph water if you're still buying them:

Honorable mentions: BPA, Dioxin, Perchlorate, Organophosphate pesticides... etc.

It's banned in Europe
Just because they say that doesn't mean we aren't being poisoned.
Even if it's banned, there is groundup, which is must if you want to grow food. Monsanto created seed that can't germinate without being sprayed with their own pesticide, it's harmful too.

I see.
