Palate expansion is very high ROI but it’s important to note that there are multiple types of palate expansion.

MARPE:

The typical palate expansion used on non adults is called MARPE (miniscrew, assisted rapid palate expansion) which is basically a non surgical miniscrew attatched to the palate expander which is used to widen palates of those’d that don’t have fused palates, or at least partially non fused…

Sarpe: very similar but it’s surgical and used for adults or individuals with fused palates, when most people talk about palate expansion this is what they refer to, it’s almost always followed by orthodontics “specifically braces” usually under the surgeons supervision in order to complete the look and ensure safety and the desired result. With sarpe you can achieve some differences in mid face width but also a wider palate which proves for a much better smile. “Subconsciously one of the most attractive traits”

There are also other types of palate expanders of which I’m much less interested in because they’re mainly used for improving airways etc, and not as much for facial aesthetics and also they’re mainly targeted at younger patients…

But…

Here’s the big one…

DNA Appliances/homeoblock

This is the one I’m heavily considering.

It’s worn long term, usually in the evening and night, as shown in the video.

However you aren’t just at palate level changes, you’re looking at real facial changes. Specifically forward and downward maxillary movement. “Which seems an awful lot like bimax” however, when looking at bimax, we have to consider the 3 levels of intensity, leforts 1-3.

The grand majority of people that can actually afford bimax end up getting lefort 1, its cheapest and lowest risk, but it only targets the lower maxilla.

I think that in theory this could save a lot of money and time as opposed to bimax, I am considering doing this for about a year first and then reassessing my options afterward. It is possible that rather than bimax I’ll settle for simply implants or even genioplasty with a chin implant.

Let me know what y’all think.

One more little note, with the homeoblock you’re looking at around 8-15k over 1-2 years, with lefort 1 in the us your looking at more like 25-45k…. And notice how I said 1-2 years, yes, you can wear it longer than a year and that may yield higher results.

You’re going to need a lot of metal
Lowk n***a i feel like a palate expander would js make my flaws worse
My biggest flaw is low esr due to wide cheekbones since i have a regular ipd
Also due to being a fat chud
Lowk if i lose weight my esr should be in the 44% range
But ts shit would js make my cheekbones wider and id be done for

It’s funny how I could post about what I had for lunch, and everyone gets on, but I post this and it gets ignored… shows a lot about what kind of audience we have on here lol

oh this reminds me i forgot to measure my palate brb

ok i think 40mm is that enough :p

I’m not even sure tbh, but it comes down to tongue comfortability if you can lay it totally flat it’s probably wide
i think its ok idk

Pretty good tbh
Not 67mm though so its over
It’s funny because nobody directly cares about palate width, it’s just super subconscious
