I'm going to explain it simply and short what carb loading is, how to do it, and what foods to eat before your gym workouts
David what is carb loading?
Carb loading is simply putting gas in the car before driving away...ehh almost
Carb loading means eating carbohydrates before workouts to boost glycogen in your muscles, which will improve pumps, endurance, and prevent fatigue

Ahaaa and how do I do it?
There are slow-digesting carbohydrates and fast-digesting carbohydrates
Depends on the type of carbs you eat it can be 1h to 30min before your workout
(Everyone's digestive system is different, so experiment with different times to see what makes you feel better the most)
Slow carbs tend to give longer and more stable energy so it's best to eat them if you train hard and for more than 1h

Andd what foods do I eat?
For fast carbs you can eat like bananas, dates, Rice Krispies, and honey
For slow carbs you can eat rice cakes, rice, Apples, and pita bread
You can try out different meals to see how your body reacts and don't be scared to mix some things
Try to hit around 50g-70g-100g before your workouts
(Depends on body weight and how hard you train)

I had 250g of blueberries and like 100g of cooked rice with milk and my workout was good
I usually struggle on the last 2-3 reps of my chest exercises but this time I did them fast and easy
I even considered adding more weight to my sets because it felt lighter than usual
But remember to always get at least 8h of sleep and hydrate throughout the day
