is it just me or every time I stop using skincare my skin starts clearing up and looking better? Of course it’s not perfectly clear, but not using skincare for a bit makes me look way better than skincare routine for months

My skin cleared up a lot after completely dropping every skincare product

Also, often times, using a skincare product just gives you another issue! Like for example using a cream to get rid of acne makes my skin dry. And a dermatologist ( I don’t trust doctors bt my mom forces me to listen to them) told me that moisturizer gives me acne!!! So the cream makes my skin dry but moisturizing gives me acne?!?!?!

Because most of the popular shit is cope cerave is fucking buns😭 if it works good people don’t need it anymore!

Majority of acne is caused my poor diet, not genetics. Read ‘We want to live’. Get on tret or accutane if you wanna eat like shit.

what kinda derm would tell you that moisturiser gives u acne

spf and anti-septics 100% work, however factors such as diet, sleep schedule , stress, hormones etc also factor into the condition of your skin and how well certain products work.

i think its usually less is more with it but other factors like diet genetic environment are equally or sometimes more important

Yeah I agree adding too much can just gunk up your skin or using exfoliates can damage your skin barrier. It's best to use a skin product for a specific issue you have rather than just everything.

@Penalizer69 r**e him

Me produce normal amounts of sebum, me not need skincare so nobody needs skincare!

moisturiser actually helps control sebum production, so unless you were to use a shitty moisturiser unsuitable to your skin type, then it will only help clear skin. You're likely just someone not prone to acne with naturally healthy skin, so using skincare throws that off. By the sounds of it you obviously don't know what your talking about so I wouldn't doubt your routine is pretty ass too.
