machine learning since a lot of the problems are really hard to solve and there is a lot of space for creative solutions
I'd argue that even since the AI boom in 2022 we have barely scratched the surface of what we can do, and I'd really love to push the frontier of what we know and discover things nobody else has discovered before
but my current company is really nice, projects are fun-ish, and it pays really well. if I get a RO I might drop phd plans and work for them after grad
