This guide concludes the most effective softmaxxing methods for improving facial asymmetry as much as realistically possible

Disclaimer:
English isnt my first language and Im dyslexic so I apologize for any grammar mistakes. If your asymmetry is caused primarily by significant skeletal/bone structure differences this guide likely won’t be enough. This focuses mainly on facial muscles, posture, habits, and soft tissue.
Heres my before and after:

As we can tell there are still obvious signs of assymetry, especially around my eyes, BUT its nothing like before. For reference Im putting the images without the lines :

Facial asymmetry ususally comes from a combination of different factors. This guide focuses on TMJ, posture, sleep positions, swelling/water retention.

STEP 1:

Retainer/Night guard.

an absoloute game changer especially if you combine it with mouth tape. Those 8-10 hours of sleep are ususally the roots of facial imbalance.

Most people dont even realize it but if you clench or grind your teeth in your sleep (subconciously) your masseters are under repeated tension for HOURS.
this can cause one or both masseters to enlargen which wil give you that ,not only bloated but also assymetrical look and contribute to TMJ irritation.
a night guard will obviusly help with that since it helps reducing direct tooth grinding damage and strain.

since a lot of people complained that their mouth stays open while sleeping with a mouthguard I decided to add mouthtape to this which will help with mewing, weird jaw posture while sleeping and a dry mouth when waking up.

This step is to prevent your masseters from getting worse and more damage to accure.

Step 2:

Masseter Botox

in some cases simple massages and night guards are too late and thats when we grab botox.

Not only can you use it on your masseters but in some cases it helps with asymmetrical nasal folds, a droopy eye etc etc.

I personally only used it for my masseters. I DIY ed it at home which i honestly wouldnt recommend bc it was painful, dangerous and complicated.

Masseter botox aint that expensive to do so id rather just go to somene who knwos what they are doing. It will reduce massive masseter volume ad when you get it professionally done they will pay attention to which side appears more assymetrical and will work with that. Botulinum toxin will temporarily reduce muscle activity.

heres my before and after in my bite (I used to suffer from deep bite which broke some off my teeth) also ignore the yellow before i bleached my teeth after antibiotic damage:
Screenshot_20260510-173441.webp

Step 3:

sleep posture

get this pillow right the fuck now.

Screenshot_20260525-200210.webp

this fixed every issue I had with sleeping on my back.

it is comfortable, it fixed my back and neck pain and it prevents me from turning at night and supresses the urge to turn at all.

sleeping on your back stops facial compression which would cause puffines, uneven soft tissue compression, fluid pooling and is lowkey also better for the skin.

overall one of the most important steps when it comes to facial symmetry.

STEP 4:

lymphatic drainage.

you lowkirkgeniunly dont need a gua sha or a complicated routine to do lymphatic drainage.

the lymphatic system gets rid of excess fluid, waste and infalammatory byproducts out of tissue.

Most assymetry is fluid retention because of inflammation, poor drainage, water retention and localized swelling.

how to properly drain the lymphatic system?

1.

drinking 3-4 l of water for a few days

2.
3:1 potassium diet

3.
whole body lymphatic drainage with a brush

4.
facial lymphatic drainage massage witha very soft brush (there are sepcific ones for the face, i prefer them over gua sha)

5.
reducing salt and sugar intake, just straight up slop overall

6.
going to the sauna

These are the most effective steps that helped me imporve my symmetry. Ignore the lenses im wearing.

before anyone calls the lines on my before and after random id love for you to take a closer look please.

before anyone calls me a makeup cell, I dont wear make up my phone wuality is just ass. Only fraud are the very bad lenses.

thank you for takin your time to read ts hopefully it helps you.

okay bhai
