I am currently researching $SAVA stock which has forced me down a rabbit hole of Alzheimer's and dementia. When i was learning about the structure of drugs made to battle the disease, i came across a plant called "Rhodiola rosea".
I dont know if its well known but in case it isnt i thought i would share the information.
This plant was used way back in the day (several hundreds of years ago), they were being traded by nordic people and were very sought after. Under the world war, the soviet union used it on their soldiers whom all showed significant differences in endurance between them, and those who did not partake in rhodiola.
Rhodiola rosea has helped many people whos brain function has been damaged by improving cognition. Not a lot of people will say they have damaged brain cells but the truth is that most people do, especially these days.
Why you need rhodiola
Those with down syndrome have a 75% chance of getting dementia after the age of 60. This is because they have an extra chromosome. Specifically chromosome number 21. Chromosome number 21 produces a protein called amyloid which is needed for your body to function. This protein will clump together and cause plaques in your brain which is completely normal, and your brain gets rid of these plaques when you sleep. But if you have down syndrome you have an extra production of amyloid, meaning your brain isnt able to clean up the plaque fast enough. The plaque slowly kills their braincells and they start forgetting things.
But i dont have down syndrome?
Have you ever pulled an all-nighter? You didnt allow your brain to clean up plaque that night.
Amyloids are just one of many causes of brain damage. A dead braincell can never be restored, but a damaged one can easily. Most people have damaged cells in their brains.
Rhodiola rosea doesnt only help you think better and faster, but has also been known to energise as well as cure depression is some cases.
Make sure you get good quality rhodiola and not some poorly grown plant. It makes a huge difference.
