Saw this idea from @Shrek 's thread.

I want to add further that ...
I say that the dislike button should be removed. It's an unpopular idea, it ruins a user's reputation. It's bad in general. Just have the sick or angry button instead and don't allocate any of those reactions to one's reputation.

No other forum uses this system. .me and other forums don't even have this system.

@admin , I request you to either get rid of the button or simply don't deduct a point from the reputation from a user.

@admin recommend me to make a thread and poll and n this. So be sure to vote.

Thanks. Let me know your thoughts too.

John.

Reputation should be based on thread Quality. Maybe the ability to rate threads out of 5 would of been a good idea

I screwed up the title and poll question. Jfl, I meant to say 'discontinued' after 'be' in the poll.

I want the entire concept of begging to be stopped.

I agree. Reputation should also be on the likability of a user on a forum. It's about how funny or correct or agreeable a person's posts are. Quality threads always get a handful of upvotes too btw.

Remove point deduction but keep diskike button

I fail to see why we would not have a Dislike Button while having a Like Button. It's only fair to be able to Dislike someone and remove one point from their Reputation as long as you have the Like button which adds one point to the reputation.

So basically, either remove both buttons or keep both is what I think would be fair.

I would replace angry smile  with downvote (n). I don't want to remove it, it's good way of saying i disagree

That's okay, but i don't want reputation points to be deducted from a user for gaining dislikes for his posts. I say that for every dislike a user gets, NO point would be allocated to his reputation, rather than deducting one.

What do you think about that?

Also, @Rkelly vote, please.

downvoting makes it easier to see who the trolls are @RED WITH RAGE
Yeah. But look ... I want the dislike button to be there, but i don't want dislike reactions to my posts, making my reputation lower.

See this is how it should be - like = +1 reputation score
- dislike = +0 reputation score (rather than -1).

Do you agree or nah?

These are just shit factors about this forum. .me doesn't have this stupid system tbh. If you wanna make this forum alive, it needs to have proper features, plus no user likes being negged. Imagine you, who joined here last year, gets negged all the way down to -1 just by some troll or not being in agreeance with someone.

if i got mass negged I would post better things on the site to increase it... negging makes this place more unique

But it shouldn't decrease any users reputation. Instead, negging shouldn't have any effect on your reputation imo.

What would be the point of the Like button or having reputation at all of the Dislike button does not work and your reputation can only go higher?

Add a delay between how many often you can give reactions and keep it as is, is my opinion.

It is just internet points on 1585046207661.png forum, man.
