im 16 and thinking about getting marpe + protraction, i have bite marks on the sides of my tongue because my palate is too small so i have discomfort while trying to have good mouth posture (mewing) my nostrills are uneven etc. Why Marpe + Protraction sounds like the solution is simple, Marpe for widening the palate and protraction for forward growth for my airways which would also be pretty awesome since im recessed af, left is me now, right is what AI gave me after a pretty detailed prompt asking for possible results of MARPE + Protraction

If you can go for it but marpe is hard to get unless you have genuine airway issues, even if you lie they will x-ray your airways and might ask for EMT referral before going through with it so you can't really fraud it

Same applies with protraction as many orthos will look for an underbite before considering protraction

That being said if you DO have these issues go for it, and theres no harm in trying even if you don't, GL
