AFFECTS OF MILK ON KIDS
first graph: zinc on kids second graph: milk on kids
this graph contains two lines, predicted biological growth (predicted height in graph A is orange and in graph B it is a dotted blue line.)
the first graph is about zinc, and the second is milk on kids. as you can see, milk rockets mass far beyond what a biological machine would predict weight to be even considering milk
marked graph summarizing the weight findings of numerous milk studies
This is a compile of the results of many studies of the affects of bone weight with milk, the number on the very right marks the increase in weight mg
WHATS THIS MEAN?
- In the subjects of this experiment, two things were measured, BF% and WEIGHT.
L> They noticed that body fat percentage stayed relatively stable for a growing child while their weight increased, meaning that the mass went into their bones.
-In the first graph A, we can see in comparison that zinc didn't have such an affect on mass as milk did
whats milk?: nutritious liquid from mammary glands to nourish young, including mainly water, lactose, fat and protein
experiment on human milk linked

: when should milk be introduced to a kid?
- before a year of life, a child's kidneys are unable to process the chemicals in cow's milk
- even after a year of life, excess cow milk will block the ability to intake enough iron, so limit it
- too much protein at the start of a kid's life is associated with:
"High intake of amino acids (particularly from dairy sources) stimulates elevated levels of Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 (IGF-1) and insulin. This hormonal push accelerates early weight gain and multiplies fat cell production, significantly raising the risk of obesity later in childhood and adolescence."
- the affect is opposite for high protein consumption in later childhood
