I'm not a native English speaker so sorry for any typos or misunderstandings.

So if I understand it correctly love for most people means loving a person for who the person is, most normies mean the personality of the person, some include the persons looks aswell.

My thoughts on why love is overhyped and meaningless in its core:

I will start with looks, as we all know your appearance is mostly genetics so you didn't have any say in it aka its pure luck so if another person loves you for your appearance dosnt it mean love is meaningless because you didn't do anything to earn your looks, the person only loves you because you had luck to be born said persons type physically and if you didn't have said luck the person wouldn't fall in love with you..

Personality is heavily influenced by luck aswell just like looks since the environment you were born in will have a major influence on how your personality develops, for example would a person develop the same personality if one version of said person grew up in a wealthy first world country with a stable family and the other version of him grew up poor with a abusive family? It's clear the answer is no, those are obviously extreme opposite examples but keep in mind even small changes in someone environment will influence how his personality develops.

How your personality develops is also influenced by your looks and intelligence which both are mostly genetic aka luck.
For example let's take the same person and make one version of him uglier or stupid/lowIQ and the other good looking or highIQ, those two versions would most likely develop different personalities because of the treatment they experienced from other and their brain capacity.
What I wanna is that its clear that how your personality develops is also heavily based on genetics/luck so the same applies here, if a person loves you for your personality it basically means they love your luck/genetics, again something you had no control over.. dosnt this make love meaningless deep down? I know it feels good and all but if you think about it the person only loves the luck you had which makes love meaningless in a deeper sense in my book.

im ngl, to an extent everything is based on luck

ur argument is flawed, u just mention the things that affect why we love. love is real and not overhyped or stupid

verdict? It's all luck? What a blessed reflection
