PDO threads

Hello everyone, in this thread i will be explaining what PDO threads are, how they work, and how to do it your self
Disclaimer

You should never do this by your self, you need to also do your own research so you can properly do this correctly if you are doing this with no help

What are PDO Threads

Pdo threads (polydioxide) are little collagen based threads that help your skin produce excess collagen and lift sinking/ lose skin
Certain types do different things
Cog- lifts sinking Loos skin 25-30mm eyes ( cantho) 55-60mm for mid face/jowl
Screw- twisted for volume 25-30mm eyes (cantho) 55-60mm for midface/ jowl
Mono- smooth( just collagen based) does not mechanically lift facial skin 25-30mm for eyes ( cantho) 55-75 mm for midface / jowl areas
Based on this, choose which ones you need to do, if your jowls sink then do smooth(mono) if your cantho is negative use cog if your mid face lacks volume, use screw.
How pdo threads work
The pdo (polxonne) is inserted into the subdermal layer (between the dermis and the connective tissue) it releases this collagenated thread that (depending on the type of thread ) will either tighten or volumeize your fcasia tissue.

How to insert pdo threads

To insert:
  • first cleanse area with alcohol 1% with cotton ball

  • Insert pilot needle into subdermal layer of the skin to create a cannula for the pdo needle pinch to make sure you have it in the right layer so you don't get nerve damage/ blood vessels

  • Take the pilot needle out place the thread in the pilot needles gauge screw the Pdo thread needle (GENTLE) in the subdermal layer, pinch the needle while screwing the needle in making sure that the needle is not hitting any nerves/ veins look at a map of the nerves and veins of the face now look at where the subdermal layer (between the dermis layer and the sebaceous fat glands) push the stopper then pull the pdo needle out making sure the thread is in the skin
  • Pull the thread out and tighten the cog/ screw tho define the faci mucles
