Hi everyone, how are you doing? This is my first post here. I'm from Rome, Italy, and I am 32 years old. I wanted to get some advice regarding my potential surgery options.

First, I have a bit of infraorbital rim recession, and my lower eyelids droop slightly towards the outer corners—especially on my left eye (I don't think my right eye is as bad). This gives me a tired, somewhat "dead" look at times. My plan was to address the lower eyelid retraction, make the eyes a bit more almond-shaped, and reduce upper eyelid exposure (especially on my left eye).

Secondly, I was initially considering custom infraorbital implants, but I’m rethinking this. I’m starting to think that once I optimize my eyelids and lower face, the orbital recession won't be an issue anymore—it might even create a more interesting look. I actually like having a deeper, slightly melancholic, and intense stare, and I think the recession plays a part in that. The eye area wasn't a problem a few years ago, but in my 30s, tissue and collagen loss made it more noticeable. Maybe adding a little bit of fat grafting under the eyes will be enough. What do you think about this?

For the lower face, I’m waiting for a consultation with Dr. Ramieri. I have a recessed chin to fix and an asymmetry that causes some physical discomfort: basically, my left maxilla/mandible is more prominent, and I have a lot of tension there extending to my neck (likely due to poor posture), whereas my right side feels somewhat undeveloped and weak. I also have a mild deep bite. I've attached a photo from below my neck so you can see the asymmetry.

I don't know if I'll need double jaw surgery (Bimax), an advancement of both jaws, or just an asymmetrical rotation/correction. What I do know is that my profile looks worse also due to tissue aging and forward head posture, which I'm working to fix.
I am open to suggestions, especially regarding the eye area and the lower part of my face!

from what ive heard lower lid work isnt going to be very ideal if it doesnt hae good bone support to sit on, and might acc revert back to how it used to be and droop down again, so I dont think fat grafting is going to be the best choice for u. U can get it after but since uve got actual bone issues just address them with actual support

i think doing all of the work you plan to could make you look uncanny. i would focus on improving your lower face first and see how much it could contribute to your general attractiveness

You should actually look into lip fillers. I think you have a facial anchor on your lips but they are much thinner then they should be

(Also you should shave)

What do you think could make me look uncanny? My main concern is the eye area actually, I want to work on the lower face only because my chin is a bit recessed and because of my asymmetry/pain/bite.

going to look great

What do you mean a facial anchor? Yes my lips are super thin, especially the upper lip, technically in my situation a lip lift would be ideal before filler, thankfully my beard cover it. My main concern is my eye area all the rest is secondary.

It depends how it is done, ideally you need cantoplasty and spacer graft, Taban itself said that an implant is not necessary to correct the issue.

I shaved last week I didn't like much 🤣 people told me I looked good but I don't know, the issue is that if I shave my hollowing in the eyes and the thin lips are too exposed.

Yes I am against filler as well, if I want to fix my upper lip I will do a lip lift. But Honestly filler in the lips is the only case that it does make sense, more on women tho.

I think it depends on the risk u want to take ngl. I could see how it could pay off.

infra malar mogs IMO tho
Yes if done right they do especially when you need them, but I saw some results and they look so uncanny and weird

A facial anchor has a few properties
1. It’s one of the first things someone will notice (both consciously and unconsciously)
2. Facial anchors have 3 outcomes (neutral- the trait is not to far away from ideal and it has no strong effect on your overal ranking, halo- the trait is ideal and suits you to the point where the trait is more attractive then you, falio- the negative opposite of a halo)

Some common facial anchors
1. Eyes
2. Nose
3. Mouth
————-
Some negative facial anchors
1. Forehead
2. Chin
3. Any asymmetrical skin abnormalities (worts, swellings, discolorations)

Your lips are not covered by your beard, it actually draws attention to your lips (or lack there of). This actually forms a falio, and people’s eyes are locked onto your weakest trait. I recommend learning better grooming habits, and fixing your lip area before you touch your eyes.

Ok really interesting, didn't think it was a big deal. Thanks
