for a bit background knowledge; i’ve been on tret for about half a year and still have stubborn scarring and occasional breakouts. i’ve used a ton of different prescription topicals and medications but none have made my acne fully fade.
my derm has finally decided it’s been long enough that i could start accutane, but i’m slightly weary because of the side effects. to start, i’ve been trying to lose weight for a while, and since i’m often too busy to exercise i have to resort to fasting instead. it works, but it’s caused quite a significant amount of hair loss. not only am i worried that accutane might thin my hair even further, but i’ve also heard that you need to consume a significant amount of fat for it to properly absorb, which i wont be able to meet without gaining weight.
I’m also nervous about the dryness that will come with it now that winters coming, as i’ve heard it can get severe.
if i dont start accutane i’ve been considering tazarotene or possibly trifarotene, though i have much less knowledge on the latter.

Yes. Something like 20-30 mg a day

take the pill with breakfast. And use reta; don't fast till your hair falls out, you idiot

accutane sides bellow 40mg are a meme & you don't risk anything unless you've sustained past liver damage. If you're woman, have safe sex, or don't, idrc if you birth a deformed baby
