The claim that jogging lowers testosterone levels is not correct in such a generalized form. Numerous sports science studies show that moderate endurance training—such as regular jogging—can stabilize hormonal balance and may even have positive effects. In healthy men, moderate exercise often leads to a short-term increase in testosterone following the workout.

A long-term decrease in testosterone is more commonly associated with extreme endurance training, very high training volumes, and insufficient caloric intake—such as in competitive marathon athletes. For recreational runners, however, jogging typically has a regulating effect on hormones, reduces stress, and by lowering excess body fat can actually support healthy testosterone production.

It is advisable to jog every other day in order to incorporate strength training on the days in between. This combination of moderate endurance training and resistance training supports hormonal balance particularly effectively and promotes long-term performance and overall health — as I was trying to explain earlier.
