If you spend enough time in lm forums, you’ll notice people talking ab cheekbones, eye area etc.... Meanwhile one of the biggest contributors to facial presence sits on the side of the jaw. A face can have great bones , but without enough muscular support, it won’t be considered structured. It’ll look softer and almost as if the face is like unfinished
The masseter is what gives the lower third the so called completeness
It’s the muscle that runs from your cheekbone down to the angle of your jaw. Every time you chew, clench, or js stabilize your bite you’re basically using it. Faces that look strong almost always have well developed masseters
they love to blabber ab how someone has high masseter insertions when the gonions are high set and the gonial angle is worse overall, but muscles don’t just attach to your bones however they want
What people are seeing is a short mandibular ramus.
The ramus is the vertical portion of your lower jaw. When it’s longer, the gonions sit lower. When it’s shorter, everything compresses, which makes it look likethe muscle is higher set.
in puberty specifically, the body is extremely responsive to mechanical stimulus. This does not mean you can magically force your jaw to grow beyond your genetics, butt it does mean something important.
Many people never fully express their genetic potential because modern goyslop removes the need for strong chewing. (My chewing thread) it's not rlly “building new structure” but preventing underdevelopment.

what actually is the masseter?

“High Masseter Insertions”
I'm genuinely sick of people talking bout sum "Don't train your jaw if your masseters are high insertioned".they love to blabber ab how someone has high masseter insertions when the gonions are high set and the gonial angle is worse overall, but muscles don’t just attach to your bones however they want
