Why do men genuinely think misandry is an issue

Yeah but homophobia is completely different. A better example would be heterophobia. Many gay people say they hate straight people but that doesnt make it true does it

Probably but they dont. Men see women online joking about misandry and hating men and immediately think its some big issue
Confused on what argument you're trying to make.

The reason why the term "hetrophobic" is funny because it doesn't have any real-world usage. Hating men does have real world usage. Not to the same degree hating women does, but pretending that people who identify with the term misandry are actually not ever hateful is genuinely crazy. Extremist feminism isn't new and it's not primarily an online concept lmfao, it's been around for hundreds of years and is shown in a lot of early feminism movements.

The SCUM Manifesto is a good read, but the author literally attempted an assassination. Has any gay person ever tried to kill a straight man? Probably not.

The terms we use actually have intentions and their definitions are important to discussions. Rewriting these definitions are disingenuous and using terms that gay people are using satirically is NOT a "better" example especially when the term misandry has an actual history to it.

Love the point, i just don’t see how hate should be taken as something light or funny even if it’s not supposed to be meaningful in any way

Yeah so 6.4% completed a r**e, not too far from wha
In the large scale college study: 7.7% had committed attempted or completed r**e.
Depending on the university and exactly how questions were phrased, self-reported rates of sexual assault perpetration have been as high as 61% and rates of attempted or completed r**e have been as high as 15%

in a local community (far smaller pool of just 65 men): Twenty-two percent of these men (n = 14) had perpetrated some type of sexual assault based on their answers to a modified version of the SES; 6.4% had committed an act that met standard legal definitions of completed r**e.

Another community of 195 men: Using a modified version of the SES, 27% of participants reported committing some type of sexual assault; 7.7% reported committing attempted or completed r**e.

large scale study of navy men: Using a shortened form of the SES, approximately 11% of these men reported that they had committed an act that met standard legal definitions of r**e.

No because this same mysandry can be directly represented on the government, on first world countries there is as much women as they do men ( taking Spain as an example 12 men, 10 women ) specially because in democratic societies the party who wins is the one who gets the more votes, so a political issue can be directly influenced by an ideology like its mysandry, that’s why like i said men are seen as oppressors on court even if there has been no gathered evidence
Okay yes when you put it like this i do agree that misandry can affect men in certain situations in First world countries

I used the term heterophobic because most women use it in the same sense. Ive already stated before that misandrist with pure hatred for men do exist. It’s not my fault women have started satirically using the term, whether or not it’s right or wrong to use it in this way doesn’t take away from the fact that it in fact is used satirically a lot

the perpetrator doesn't matter. If I am a man, and I get stabbed to death by a man, I am a victim of unjust violence. If I am a man, and I get stabbed to death by a woman, I am a victim of unjust violence. Who my perpetrator is does not change my victim status at all.

Why?
If I draft someone against his will, and he dies in war, that is murder. I have murdered him. There is no difference in sending someone a draft letter, and going to their house and shooting them
The evil it takes to kill your wife is the same evil it takes to send an unconsenting someone to war. Infact, the evil is worse because you're doing it to multiple people, possible tens of thousands.

They do, they do not see that victim as the only victim of that crime, they see all women as the victim of that crime. A group they identify with

I don't think any man identifies with the veteran identity unless they're a veteran themself

So to conclude your arguments:

A man who dies by a man isn't as much of a victim as a woman who dies by a man, because their perpetrator is the same gender as them

If you die by someone you didn't know, you are less of a victim as someone who died by someone they did know, therefore the crime isn't as bad

People murdered by their government are less of a victim as people murdered by individuals

Drafting someone and getting them killed isn't as bad as "killing them for no reason," because they must've had a reason to kill you[..? like what..? feeding the military industrial complex..?]

I'm kind of speechless on this one
missed the point completely
I’m anti war and war has been integrated into our society by the government.
At no point did I ever say that those who die in war are less of victims then those women who are murdered by a partner
they are both victims and it is STUPID to pit two crimes together
the society we live in is the society that has normalized the death of millions during war
they have not normalized the murders of those NOT in war, because they shouldn’t
No heinous crimes such as murder or dv should be normalized

my point about the soldiers having no connection to each other was simply that the government pits two groups of men against each another by making them kill each other brutally and making them spend their last moments in the slums of some third world country where the person who killed them was told by their government to kill JUST AS THE VICTIM WAS TOLD

A victim of murder during war is just as much of a victim as a victim of a murder by a partner, I’m just saying that the soldiers were told to KILL EACHOTHER and that victim most likely ALSO killed people not because of their own fault but because of the GOVERNMENT casually killing innocent men to “protect their country”

And about the indentifying thing, clearly you just didn’t get what I was saying
Only veterans would indentify themselves with a murdered soldier, not someone identifying themselves with a veteran??
just stop comparing crimes man

Yes so different sample size, different participants, obviously and it’s quite blatant that men r**e, and i just don’t think men really should be seen as oppressors on a court room simply because of a small part of the gender doing harm.
Okay yes when you put it like this i do agree that misandry can affect men in certain situations in First world countries
Thanks, by talking we come to understand one another :peepoLove:

I think you are evil and your last post before this one is an insight into your evil and apathetic worldview. You believe what you want to believe, truly disgusting
how the fuck am I being disgusting and evil I would like to know
minimizing my entire argument to one sentence is idiotic

Most women that claim misandry are just joking and dont actually treat men like shit + it’s incomparable to misogyny which is an actual worldwide issue that has women killed daily

I mean tbf i dont think most men care about misandry, but people on this site seem to
lindsey clancy case, women hating babies, blatantly blaming the husbands for everything is all byproduct of misandry btw

because i hate women and i don't like when women hate back
if i can split open your skull like a apple

you have no right to be misandrist or racist
being racist or sexist is a man's thing

Discussion over already agreed to a point another guy made buddy go obliterate my diet guide instead
the reaction is feminism not misandry, this is like the reaction of a ,misogynist genetic loser guy who is treated like shit by women
They’re both reactions to misogyny. I never said misandry is a perfect morally righteous reaction, but it is one nonetheless. And im specifically talking about the women you see online claim to be misandrist man-haters while actually posing no harm, not the true misandrist that actually harm men in real life, clarifying this since people were misunderstanding my point before

But either way the discussion is over already no point in talking about it or @Carcinogenic will get angry😢

obliterate my diet guide instead
check ur thread

yeah misandry is not that harmful as misogyny, BUT, normalising misandry is bad, and idk why but misandry demonises, family and children, i still find it bizzare how many women online support murdering kids

women getting killed by their husbands isn't misogyny btw. yes it's awful, but it isn't misogyny just because he's a man and she's a woman. it's the same with rаpe. women getting rаped isn't misogyny.

misogyny is defined as the hatred of, contempt for, or prejudice against women or girls. neither rаpe or murder in first world countries (in most cases) fits this definition.

i needed to clear this up because most people have this notion that anything that negatively affects a woman more than a man equals misogyny. this logic is commonly used with race/black people as well, but that is besides the point.

what does this have to do with the thread? the point is that i am not undermining it, but the idea of misogyny is heavily overblown due to this reason. misandry is often called overblown which couldn't be further from the truth. not once is it ever mentioned in schools, mainstream media, etc, while misogyny is mentioned everywhere

men who seriously think misandry affects them are sensitive faggy little retards that can't handle criticism, and misogynistic themselves

most people don't take misandry seriously because it's not a real thing affecting anyone. it's like how white supremacy is an issue but nobody gaf about indian supremacy

women being killed by their husbands can definitely be misogyny, in most cases it's what the word 'femicide' exists to describe. misogyny isn’t just “he hates all women.” It includes structural, gender‑based violence where women are harmed because they are women in a context of male dominance, control, or entitlement, and intimate partner murders specifically typically follow patterns of coercion and gendered power. it's gender-motivated, majority of those murders would NOT have happened if she were male and that's what ppl look for

the same applies to r**e not every instance is driven by explicit woman‑hating, but r**e is deeply tied to gendered entitlement, domination, and the weird belief that women’s bodies exist for men's use

women are being killed by men at higher rates because of a power imbalance, but this cannot be classified as misogyny, as power imbalance is only a subset of misogyny; so they are not equal. they are not gender motivated, but power motivated.

like for example, in the case of a gay relationship, the 'weaker' or less powerful man
it's gender-motivated, majority of those murders would NOT have happened if she were male and that's what ppl look for
for example, replace a wife being killed by husband with a gay relationship. where the 'weaker' or less powerful man getting killed by the more dominant powerful man. it still would have happened if she was male, as long as she was weaker.

this is because there is correlation between the two, but power motivated does not equal gender motivated.

idk if it matters, but i will state that i am male. just thought i would let you know in case you thought u were talking to a woman. also @Dzitsu, why jfl react on my previous reply

men react more violently than women
this is not a misogyny vs misandry thing, this is just exactly how biology works

t levels make u aggressive, women have lower T. I don’t remember the study but there was a study in prisons where women with higher T levels were still more aggressive than women with lower T. it is not a misogyny thing

How about u stop being illiterate and read that i literally said that in the 2 sentence long post
dnr and Im talking about ppl who think misandry is a problem
