People consider dimorphism to be one of the most important features to attractiveness, yet it's very vaguely defined among lm spaces. For men, good dimorphism is defined as generally stronger features, good eye area, and outside of facial traits, good physique. For women, good dimorphism is generally defined as weaker features, a smaller face, jaw, and physique. The way dimorphism is quantified by the lm community is unscientific. First of all, dimorphism isn't a trait in itself, it's a collection of traits. Telling someone to "improve their dimorphism" can mean 20 different things. For a man it can mean improving his entire bone structure. For a woman it can mean getting a smaller jaw. How can we treat dimorphism as a valid measure of attractiveness if we solely base it on vibes?

lowkey this is true. people use 'dimorphism' like it’s some scientific score when it’s really just a mix of different traits. it’s just an easy label for “more masculine” or “more feminine” but there’s no real consistent way people measure it. that’s why it ends up being vague and kinda subjective in lm spaces

Dimo doesn’t matter when discussing facial attractiveness, it only matters when we discuss facial longevity. Leonardo DiCaprio is basically at the forefront of what im talking about

cus vibes is only thing that matters

cus vibes is only thing that matters
But if someone's asking for improvement tips u shouldn't js say "increase dimo". Also no duh that attractiveness is perceived as js vibes, but what lm is ab is that those "vibes" have scientific basis. Barrett isn't js hot "cus vibes", he has measurable attractive features

exactly

All the pillars of attraction are a combination of a mix of different traits, what's ur point here

I mean yes, but the traits people point to for dimorphism are a lot more arbitrary. Eye area is a mix of traits, but those traits are easy to quantify: infras and hooding and some other elements like limbal ring. Same with jaw: ramus height and width, masseter development, tooth positioning. Dimorphism can be hair, jaw, eye area, and a bunch of other stuff

yeah but that’s exactly my point though. other pillars might also be combinations of traits, but they’re still broken down into more consistent sub-measures. with dimorphism people just use it as a catch-all term for ‘masc vs fem vibes’ without ever clearly defining what actually counts, so it ends up way more subjective and inconsistent in practice
