Contributor Issue (MODS GTFIH) NEEDS TO BE ADRESSED.

I'm genuinely seeing so many retards with contributor, how are these people getting it??? Its a real fucking issue thats diluting the quality of users on the forum and the overall motivation users once had to acquire the badge.

@Orka I get that like you made it more valuable by creating levels but you could have just changed the reqs and purged the people.

As the forum continues to grow, we want to make sure our most dedicated members are properly recognized. We are updating our existing contributor system by expanding it into three distinct tiers!

While the original badge will now represent Tier I, we are officially introducing two higher levels to honor those who consistently go above and beyond:

Contributor I - The original contributor status
Contributor II - For sustained, high-quality impact
Contributor III - For our top-tier, most influential guides and...

I genuinely find that retarded, I think the best way to go about contributor is have;


A relatively high number of solutions
A set # of high effort guides that are retain useful/truthful information
Known throughout the community to helping users in threads

Contributor I is notoriously easy to achieve and serves as a stepping stone for first time contributors to stay motivated to keep contributing. Contributor 2 is a more literal "Contributor" role. There will not be more than 5-6 Contributor III's in total.

Maybe Im just used to the exclusivity of org contrib.

The exclusivity of that ended up making it so either you made it or you didn't, I didn't like the look of that and how it excluded people entirely and believe a scaling system works better

Wasn't my idea it is really a Dean x Orka project so i just trust them to do so. Orka is manually reviewing users looksmaxxing-related threads to my knowledge, it's possible that these users posted few interesting threads and then spend most of their time rotting on the off-topic section

That was my general understanding as well, I think they got their contrib and no dgaf.
