hey so i’ve been working out for a long time but i’ve typically only done cardio and pilates. recently i’ve been wanting to start building actual muscle is there any way to do that? i did have slightly defined abs at a point but now im more just skinny and flat
any tips on getting to a body like this?
my current “routine” is an hour on the treadmill every day on incline 8 speed 2.5 and then every other day mat pilates for like a half hour with whatever youtube videos i find

The abs exercises I have inserted in my gymcelling guide+ a caloric deficit

kk thank you
can you build muscle like that in a calorie defect tho?
IG it would be more recommended to lean bulk while doing the exercises and then go into a cut if you really want to have noticeable abs since your bf% is higher than a man's

i only do treadmill. honestly it's mostly about proportions.

one of my old mutuals has this routine and this is her torso, obv less frequency if you dont want this level of musculature
this looks too skinny in my opinion

what incline and speed? that’s fair. i have a shorter torso and longer legs so it’s harder for me to achieve your body with just treadmill
this looks too skinny in my opinion
honestly it’s exactly what i’m trying to achieve LOL i don’t wanna be bulky

ten percent incline or more. speed varies depending on the day.
and you do that every day? i walk every day on incline 8 or higher your waist is insane good for you girl

i try to go as much as i can. so yes daily outside of emergencies.

yes especially in the beginning as long as it’s not an extreme deficit like starving yourself. later you can eat more/go to maintenance

I’m a pro on this topic. I’m super lean with a 19.5 inch waist. BMI 20. My secret is stair master for an hour and a half each day. If I’m super fucking tired 15k steps on treadmill at 1.5 incline 5speed. But stomach is mainly diet and genetics, no added sugar no carbs, and no soda. Here is my body! I’m on the skinner side of what I like to be. Usually I like to be bmi 23-4 so my hips are more round.

Girl what surgeries. All my surgery are face related. My body is natural, there are tons of women with my body. I just have a small frame. So my features look big. Here is me at 220lbs still with this body shape when I was a fat fuck at 17.

I've dropped over 80lbs.. BMI 17 now.. the only way to lose weight is calorie deficit. Burn more than what you eat, or eat less than what you burn. You can calculate your bmr online and it'll tell you how many calories to eat to maintain weight. Eating under that will cause you to lose weight. The less calories consumed the more and faster the weights droppedd. Don't go tooo low cause it'll probably cause a b/p cycle, so try and find a good balance. Finding low calorie high volume food with high protein will help keep you full for longerr. Exercise helps too, but the main part is you're diet. The calories you eat are the main factor with body weight, and choosing what you eat will help you avoid being skinny fat. a mix of cardio and strength training exercises will help with that tooo

OKK VALID HUN SORRY 😭😭
Lots of hanging exercises help engage the core the most IMO (pull ups, hanging leg raises, dead hangs, etc), you'll have to build muscle and you might even have to bulk a little for a bit before cutting back down if you want to build muscle, not for certain but I know constant cutting/bulking is how lots of girls get to/maintain abss

Its a lot harder for girls to develop abs than guys, you need to be at a really low bf%, just focus on your macros and stay consistent, it'll take some time but I'm sure you'll get there queen

Actually building muscles using weights and weighted bodyweight exercises.
Like heavy squats, barbell hip thrusts, cable crunches, knees raises and so on. No you aren't gonna end up "too muscular" or "bulky" you haven't the capacity to build as much muscles than men

it’s the tits, look like ballons. If it is just genetics maybe consider getting surgeries instead

do you do waist training?

do you do waist training?
I don’t, and honestly I don’t think it really works bones can’t be moved so once your to a point I don’t think waist training works, I think It might could if you had a bit of fat on your abdomen since fat is squishy! I would say though I never work out abs EVER! doing planks and all that builds core muscles which make you wider!

well you can workout abs without heavily engaging obliques which are the muscles actually on the side of the torso
