Takes about 2.5 hours to get done with a session, I follow the icecreamfitness program about 3 times a week and there's a rest day in between every 2 days, hoping to increase weights gradually every 2 weeks. Currently on my 2nd month of the gym after a 6ish month break.

Also anyone else knows what to do on rest days lol??

And regarding the question a 5x5 especially the one you mentioned seems fucking awful

You’re better off doing a FBEOD (full body every other day) with better workouts that allow for better hypertrophy. Many of the exercises in the program you mentioned are pretty bad tbh. Most are unstable or non isolating exercises that can be replaced with many better alternatives

Ppl is an okay split especially for beginners

But I suggest either UL infinity or FBEOD as I mentioned as they allow for 3x frequency

I have a gym guide in the bodybuilding section if you scroll a little bit. In there I give splits and my take on the routine you should within said splits

5x5 took my bench from 75kg at 15 to 130kg at 16
Natural

But it is more suited for powerlifting than bb, take a look at stronglifts 5x5 for an example program
For bb it needs to be customized a bit THOUGH

that's what icf is for though, it includes isolation work for asthetics
