Hello everyone, thank you for reading the thread.
I am interested in knowing whether Septoplasty would fit my situation based on the description below.
I will be going back to the doctor to have my nose checked again. The first time I went, they prescribed medication because they believed my symptoms were most likely caused by seasonal allergies. However, even after finishing the medication, it had no effect (I was on them for roughly a month)
I will be returning in five days, and they will perform an X-ray to determine the cause of my breathing problems and constant nasal blockage. Since these symptoms have been present for over a year at this point (since last summer), I believe they are more likely caused by my deviated nasal septum than by allergies. I am also hoping they will consider me as a candidate for Septoplasty if they think that my deviated septum is truly the cause of my symptoms. At 16, is it possible for them to consider me as a patient and recommend the procedure to my parents?
Thoughts?
Also, for people that don't know what Septoplasty is:
"What is Septoplasty?"
"Septoplasty is a surgical procedure that straightens a deviated nasal septum to improve breathing and airflow."
