hiii!!! me and my two brothers have all gone through MARPE, so I want to share some advice abt this procedure!! I got mine December 2nd, 2025. It was only for cosmetic reasons. I don’t have it anymore.
1. MARPE doesn’t initially hurt. It’s a very non invasive procedure and because of the injections they give you it feels like nothing for installation and removal.
2. You have to learn how to reconfigure your mouth. I had to learn to adjust my tongue for certain letters and pronunciations. Also, you can only really eat using the back side of your teeth.
3. I hated anything remotely hot or cold. Obviously, because it’s metal it has thermal conductivity and it’s sensitive. You taste less because of not being able to use your tongue.
4. It widens out your face and smile by a lot. However, it’s unpredictable. My brother and I had the same number of rotations and wayyy different results.
5. Kissing is way different. I would NOT recommend super rough making out with it. Be aware of it you can cut skin with it.
6. Be prepared mentally!!! Your mouth and lips will be agitated from all the stuff they’ve put in. It’ll feel impossible to eat or talk for a while.
