theoretically, massters (muscles sitting at the sides of mandible, resting on the gonions) unlike all the other muscles of the face are able to hypertrophy
this means if you're bulking, consuming enough protein and training them
they should grow
but there seems to be some problems regarding thia
1- it's particularly hard to reach hypertrophy with masseters, they require repetetive and long action
2- depending on the how you train them, there might be some problems with tmj
3- very importantly i've heard people question wether growing the massters is beneficial at all
-some say it's going to make your face look bloated (while othere argue this only happens if your gonions are not low set)
and then i've heard of things like
"high set vs low set masseters"
what's the forums consensus here? anyone has any experiences?
