I got on accutane after many many many years of trying to find a solution to my acne. This is my experience broken down by timeframe and also just notes in general. Requested by @#sensitiveyoungwoman

Week 1-3
During this timeframe I started to notice purging and my acne getting worse (honestly I am assuming this because my acne was so bad across my face and whole entire body no joke. So I mean I couldn't really notice any worse acne like it was physically impossible for it to get worse.) But I did notice a lot more oilyness and this is coming from someone who my dermatologist said "did u put lotion on your face before you came? I've never seen someone with as much oily skin, accutane will work wonders for you" This is where nose bleeds happened for me.

Month 1-2
During this timeframe I started to see results, my skin was dry asf untill I put moisturizer on it. My nose was starting to get a little smaller. My acne slowly was starting to go down. When I say I was starting to see results this does not mean that I wasn't a fucking Freddy Krueger monster, I still was. ( I also really want to note that My acne was horrible like if you look up worse acne of all time My acne fucking terras that shit or did terra it, and it was across my whole body no joke the only place I didn't have acne was my dick. not an exaduration so I am coming from a very extreme standpoint) Anyways I started to see some noticable results but nothing life changing or anything yet. I also did start to notice my lips getting dry and chapped. I only got a couple nosebleeds right at the very beginning. so not anymore.

Months 2-4
This is where the results really started to kick in. The Oil on my face just didn't happen anymore, not at all. I started to see results that were very very good and even had people from school comment on it and ask what I was doing. Also I had people from school that I wasnt even friends with start to come up and ask how they can get rid of their acne like I had started to do. Now keep in mind it still wasn't fully gone. But it was extremely noticab le better. I think for most people reading this their acne would start to be completely gone by this point. For example my acne went from 10/10 (literally from my doctor) to a 4/10 (still very much had acne but not a lot. At the same time it was enough for if I asked someone do I have acne they would say yes.) Lips became very chapped and bled often. Nose bleeds didn't happen anymore

Months 4-6
At this point when I got closer to the 6 months point my acne was completely gone. I had people asking me what I did and acting like I was some type of wizard. I got compliments all the time about my skin being so so so so so so much better. I also would get compliments from girls and stuff asking for my skin care routine (girls I didn't know) because my skin looked like glass and like a models. At this stage in accutane you will not breakout no matter what. From here on out my chapped lips where super super super bad. I also didn't try to combat it much idk why but sometimes I would put things on it but most of the time I just let it happen. But you get the point on accutane ur lips will be dry as fuck.

Months 6-9
Yeah u get the point its gone and now its time to come off.

Post accutane

Okay I have been post accutane for about a year now. Also my case is tricky because I was supposed to go for a whole month more of accutane than I did because my shit got fucked up with my pharmacy and shi tbh to this day I still don't know what happened. Also when I get off accutane you are prescribed tretinion to help maintain results and whatnot. I also did not receive this. I think this kinda fucked me.

But anyways with those things taken into mind up untill a month or so ago my skin was almost perfect. ( the ocasianll breakout but not enough for someone to say I have acne or anything like that very very minimal breakouts. )

Fast forward to now and I have persisting acne near my ramus. And like a pimple or 2 on my forehead not crazy pimples but a little bit and like a pimple or 2 on my cheeks like near my zygos. I also have noticed some like skin discoloration recently like on accutane ur skin looks like glass and all the same color everything is perfect. But now I have e like discoloration and stuff.

But yeah that's my whole accutane journey I hope that this can help anyone who read it lmao sorry for such a long story but I wanted to make sure I covered every possible things at every stage.

honestly i only wanna use accutane to make my nose slimmer and i never had any acne till now
but question though have you noticed anything about your hair since thinning hair is also part of the side effects

Fuck no not in my experience. I did notice that I had to wash my hair a lot less like maybe maybe once a week and this is while being super active. But no thinning or anything

Yeah if u want a slimmer nose then this prolly isn't the best way there are other ways that wont fuck ur liver, just for a slightly smaller nose
