I will be getting jaw surgery of some kind hopefully when I turn 18 to get rid of my overbite/fix my chin recession

I did it and it was one of the Most painful experiences of my life. And I was 19 when I got it so ig my body took it better than urs will. That being said, you WILL get through it even though sometimes recovery can seem like forever, it’s temporary. They’ll give you the good stuff post surgery as well (drugs. Be ready to prepare tasty flavourful and protein rich mushy foods and have juices rich in vitamins and iron readily available. The way you nourish yourself is gonna be one of the most important things. Not only should it be nutritious but also as tasty as possible for you to keep your spirits up. Have someone bring you stuff to the hospital, if possible. The hospital food can’t do what I just said. Also try cooling it 24/7 during the first few days even if annoying or painful. You’ll regret it if you slack on that.

thanks man. I think im ready. Have all the protein shakes and blended chicken noodle soups recipes ready. I have an amazing surgeon and team with me to make it as easy as possible but i know it will suck. Years of recessed jaw, bad sleep, no recovery, neck and shoulder pain hopefully fixed up!

Do a sleep apnea test and 3d scan so insurance will pay for it
