aside from the halo effect and shit related to it
what is the reason for our brains to prefer beauty , is it because it is appealing to the eye ? ( the golden ratio theory ) or is it because it promotes good genes ( natural selection )
I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS
 
good genes, typically people who are more attractive are seen as healthier or stronger so your mind is drawn to better looking “mates” to produce the healthiest and stronger offspring
