misogyny was coined in the 17th century whereas misandry was coined in the 19th century so I think it’s fair to say a lot of misandrist ideology directly combats and comes from misogyny and the patriarchymisandry can be in its core the hatred to men there is no cause and effect its clear as day
Also did you know men have a 63% longer prison sentence on average compared to women for the same exact crime?Misandry is just a reaction to misogyny
Misogyny and gender inequality are the ones who created experiences that lead some women to develop generalized hate toward men, if the two never existed misandry wouldnt be a term.blatantly wrong
thats like saying racism is just a reaction to inferiority
r****d babble
misandry can be in its core the hatred to men there is no cause and effect its clear as day
its only a problem when its as generalized and normalised as it is today and its negative effects on feminism as a movement
the generalization of feminists are now many misandrists are quote on quote "feminists" and gentrify the word to spew their own hatred
this makes the symbol of feminism weaker and more associated with the hating of men slowing the movement down
because its not used as a combatant 100% of the time MOSTLY doesn't cut itOh my god why is everyone here bringing up what if scenarios does everything have to be spelled out for u
Yeah it CAN just pure hatred but it MOSTLY isnt. Its mostly a reaction to misogyny women face every day it really isnt that hard to understand.
You’ve been questioning whether or not i think its an issue over my wording the entire conversation when ive made it pretty clearAm i tweaking or suddenly you think misandry is also an issue but just not as bad as misogyny?
the way that men are perceived in mainstream media, such as being seen as oppressors or being victims of abuse and violence being ignored stems directly from a misogynistic narrative where men are seen as stronger, more powerful and providers whereas women are seen as fragile and vulnerable
did u read a molecule of what i said i was claiming the gentrification im not confusing the two im talking about the active scapegoating of feminisim when it is coming towards misandryMisogyny and gender inequality are the ones who created experiences that lead some women to develop generalized hate toward men, if the two never existed misandry wouldnt be a term.
And the existence of misandrists doesnt mean feminism itself is inherently anti male. A movement should be judged by its principles and goals, wich are clear for feminism, not by everyone who adopts its label
And most misandrists like myself never claim to be feminists youre confusing the two
Jfl nothing ever happens 100% of the time in a large pool of people being studied wtf are you talking about iqletbecause its not used as a combatant 100% of the time MOSTLY doesn't cut it
yes so u cant use a generalisation LOLJfl nothing ever happens 100% of the time in a large pool of people being studied wtf are you talking about iqlet
What kind of argument is this? You're talking about "what ifs". IF women were stronger, IF women has more testosterone, IF women had the necessary tools. You're talking about a fantasy world, one we don't live in.Both are an issue?
Due to the pure fact that those misandrists women cant do much against a man that has 10x times more testosterone than them, and youre basing your argument on your opinion and not objective facts. Show me a study that shows that misandrist women joke about their hate towards men and that they wouldnt do anything if they had the necessary tools
Its like saying only valis type of racism to battle against is white supremacy because it was pretty much the only one which was practiced at a global level, but let me tell you something, theres no difference between a white that hates the backs from a black that hates the asians
I think if you had the slightest bit of brains you’d realize i meant most and not every single misandrist ever without me having to spell it out for youyes so u cant use a generalisation LOL
Oh my god thank you bro finally someone with brainsWhat kind of argument is this? You're talking about "what ifs". IF women were stronger, IF women has more testosterone, IF women had the necessary tools. You're talking about a fantasy world, one we don't live in.
It's the equivalent of saying if EVERY man had the opportunity he would r**e a woman. Based off of what? Where are you getting that idea from? What evidence do you have for that? It literally doesn't make any sense. It's a reflection of your inner dialogue because I genuinely have zero clue where you would've gotten this idea from.
The difference of statistics vs make believe. When men ARE stronger, they DO r**e/murder more often compared to women, vs hypothetically if women were biologically different (aka if they were men) they would do it too. Bruh.
You’ve been questioning whether or not i think its an issue over my wording the entire conversation when ive made it pretty clear
I dont think it’s an actual real world issue and i dont think it’s anywhere comparable to misogyny. All i said was that it can be talked about in separate spaces if you wish just as every other “issue” in this world is discussed.
Also did you know men have a 63% longer prison sentence on average compared to women for the same exact crime?
that isnt equality
what if a black man was given 63% longer prison sentences on average compared to a white man for the same crime?
thats internalised racism within the system
Are u understanding my point now
when u are talking in a debate you must be clearI think if you had the slightest bit of brains you’d realize i meant most and not every single misandrist ever without me having to spell it out for you
the way that men are perceived in mainstream media, such as being seen as oppressors or being victims of abuse and violence being ignored stems directly from a misogynistic narrative where men are seen as stronger, more powerful and providers whereas women are seen as fragile and vulnerable
violence and abuse against men is definitely too ignored and should be as much of a concern as violence as women is but the reason it isn’t is because of the misogynistic roles that are pushed on men and women everyday
didn’t I just explain thisView attachment 409815
This is just your bias and what you want to consider as a "real world issue" to give strength to your point. Its clearly an issue and you clearly just proved me right, like i said, is it worse than misogyny? No. Is it an issue that should be erradicated? Yes. Why? Because of the evidence is just provided up there
so u agree its a problem? its direct prejudice towards menView attachment 409819
this is definitely true but I think that’s more a justice system issue than anything else since there’s no data on what gender sentenced them or not
well yeah that’s definitely a problemso u agree its a problem? its direct prejudice towards men
you cant just take ur own figure and say "this particular one doesnt show xyz" so its more nuanced
THE NUMBERS ARE RIGHT THERE
Yeah, your point is valid and i was wrong before. Tho i want to clarify that when i made those statements, they were to adress her point that misandrist that hate on men dont take any actions simply because they dont have as much physical strenght or drive as a man does, would that happen if they had the same level of testosterone? I would say that probably yes. Am i getting again into hypotheticals? Yes. Im just saying that the fact that hate isnt being objectified as harm doesnt mean it stops being an issueWhat kind of argument is this? You're talking about "what ifs". IF women were stronger, IF women has more testosterone, IF women had the necessary tools. You're talking about a fantasy world, one we don't live in.
It's the equivalent of saying if EVERY man had the opportunity he would r**e a woman. Based off of what? Where are you getting that idea from? What evidence do you have for that? and the definition of misandry is?well yeah that’s definitely a problem
Pretty weak point. Powerful ≠ Inflicts harm.the way that men are perceived in mainstream media, such as being seen as oppressors or being victims of abuse and violence being ignored stems directly from a misogynistic narrative where men are seen as stronger, more powerful and providers whereas women are seen as fragile and vulnerable
I completely agree i dont like the patriarchyviolence and abuse against men is definitely too ignored and should be as much of a concern as violence as women is but the reason it isn’t is because of the misogynistic roles that are pushed on men and women everyday
Thats just what im trying to prove but dzitsu only keeps comparing it to misogyny, which is quite worse, to not acknowledge misandry at all as if it isnt an irl issuewell yeah that’s definitely a problem
and the definition of misandry is?
the hatred or mistrust of men
that figure shows mistrust of men
and u said it is a problem
case closed
(i guess i dont know if ur for or against or playing a middle ground but dzitsu stopped responding halfly because i am 90% sure she backed herself into a corner and can no longer debate)
View attachment 409823
There’s a bias against men because of their actions not because women hate men. Men consistently come together in amounts of hundreds and thousands to r**e and assault women (look at the images), so yes, they’re seen as more violent and predatoryView attachment 409815

I get your point but just because one scenario (like women getting lighter sentences) is more prejudicial against men doesn’t mean much outside of crime since women are usually more prejudiced against daily by stats, just like that stat for men getting more harsh sentences.and the definition of misandry is?
the hatred or mistrust of men

no, because I’m not a misandrist
This is the only thing we wanted to hear. For the 50th time, is misogyny worse? Yes. Is misandry still an issue? AlsoI think that both of those cases are problematic and shouldn’t even exist
No i was gathering images for spaniard(i guess i dont know if ur for or against or playing a middle ground but dzitsu stopped responding halfly because i am 90% sure she backed herself into a corner and can no longer debate)
ok and I get that completely but it’s just not comparable in real life scenariosThis is the only thing we wanted to hear. For the 50th time, is misogyny worse? Yes. Is misandry still an issue? Also
Genuinely, ive learned the hard way how arguing with them is so pointless. Youre not going to change their minds no matter how scientifically backed your argument is.No i was gathering images for spaniard
As for why im not replying to u i dont think you’re even vaguely worthy of arguing with since you lack a brain
mirin high effort waterThe problem with misandry is the normalization of hate of ANY kind is what takes human rights away from EVERYONE. It doesn't matter about the consequences happening "now", it's about how hatred and regulation (laws, etc) related to this hatred bleeds slowly into everything - and it makes long term consequences in the future that makes it difficult to change (e.g. culturally). Hatred is never settled on 1 target, on 1 issue, in 1 way. The reason why you shouldn't hate any targeted demographic in general is because it's literally distracting from the primary purpose of what makes us upset.
In general I understand why some women hate men - In the same way I understand why any other population being oppressed hates their oppressor. The expectation of victims having to be the virtuous and morally mighty ones instead of expecting the abusers to change is crazy. BUT on an individual level it's wrong, and pretending that ANY strong hatred towards anyone "doesn't effect them" and "isn't really an issue" is blindness on your part on how you subconsciously treat others. I'm sure there's a lot of men who hate women who "think" they treat them perfectly nice in real life, lmfao, but it's just not true and most people will recognize that if you hate someone you do not treat them "perfectly nice".
As humans we should have the moral expectation to treat each other as humans and on individual actions, not groups split up into categories. Can you make an argument for statistics? Yes, men are statistically more likely to do X or Y, and women shouldn't ignore that because it prevents them from protecting themselves, and men shouldn't feel offended by it because it's just how reality is. With that being said, I'm sure EVERY racist LOVES to point out statistics on black people. You need to understand WHY these statistics are like this- Black people are not "naturally" born with a lower IQ, in the same way men aren't born to r**e/murder women (and people making the argument it's some biological urge is WRONG.)
Men did not gather in a room together and decided this is how things should be. An aspect of it was a huge chunk of women helped these men, encouraged this, supported this, advocated for this, fought for this, or genuinely believed this is how things should be. They hurt their fellow men, abused their sons, taught them there was no other option, etc. You can make an argument about "why" they did this, in the same way you can make an argument about "why" someone was a Nazi in Germany during WW2. This doesn't happen because ONE group decided it, it's when EVERYONE decides it's okay.
The issue in ALL of these instances was the normalization of hatred towards people, and it's the acceptance of any hatred can be justified. Hate towards any group can literally never be justified, because it's an oversimplification of larger and complicated issues. (When referring to characteristics that can't be changed, I'm obviously not talking about other categorized groups like "pedophiles" or "politicians" okay lmao)
I say we just kill the billionaires and see how society changes fr.
What you just gathered are just mass incidents of r**e that you seem to completely generalize on the whole gender, thing is studies show that around 4-5% of men have ever committed r**e in their life, it’s still a fairly big percentage, but you have to take into account it includes a lot of countries that don’t make part of the first world, therefore men are much more prone to commit these type of aggressions. I’ll put you an example, let’s say an student goes to courtroom because he owns an illegal gun, would it be fair for the judge to make a preassumption on him that he’s a school shooter? does he have any evidence that proves it? if it hasn’t been proved that a man has committed sexual assault in any type of way he shouldn’t be seen as that until there’s evidence. Regarding your justice system point, yes, justice system is largely controlled by men, but justice system is controlled by the government which usually and specially on first world countries tries to protect women’s rights as much as possible even giving them biases so they can get their votesThere’s a bias against men because of their actions not because women hate men. Men consistently come together in amounts of hundreds and thousands to r**e and assault women (look at the images), so yes, they’re seen as more violent and predatory
Also i’ll remind you the justice system is largely controlled by men

I agree with you a hundred times, it’s not worse than misogyny, but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be acknowledged at allok and I get that completely but it’s just not comparable in real life scenarios
But my original argument wasn’t about the small percentage of misandrists that do feel true hatred for men or treat them badly. My original argument was that most women that claim misandry dont even actually hate men or treat them badly.BUT on an individual level it's wrong, and pretending that ANY strong hatred towards anyone "doesn't effect them" and "isn't really an issue" is blindness on your part on how you subconsciously treat others.
Millions of men have died due to being drafted and killed in war. No man identifies with them.it’s incomparable to misogyny which is an actual worldwide issue that has women killed daily
this really doesn’t make much sense because comparing war to domestic violence is just stupidMillions of men have died due to being drafted and killed in war. No man identifies with them.
Random attacks happen in shithole south american countries, or some guy rages and kills his ex girlfriend, women identify with the women killed.
I actually can't comprehend it
whythis really doesn’t make much sense because comparing war to domestic violence is just stupid
I'll be honest it's just kind of an oxymoron. I'm not going to debate a homophobic dude who says he's homophobic but doesn't actually hate gay people and that they don't treat gay people badly ngl.But my original argument wasn’t about the small percentage of misandrists that do feel true hatred for men or treat them badly. My original argument was that most women that claim misandry dont even actually hate men or treat them badly.
Didnt generalize the gender. I said men are seen as violent because of these incidents, not that they actually are. What you just gathered are just mass incidents of r**e that you seem to completely generalize on the whole gender
False https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4589184/studies show that around 4-5% of men have ever committed r**e in their life
the concept of anything mattering outside of first world countries lolyou have to take into account it includes a lot of countries that don’t make part of the first world
Never disagreedif it hasn’t been proved that a man has committed sexual assault in any type of way he shouldn’t be seen as that until there’s evidence.
So you admit it’s a nuanced political issue and not a direct result of women’s misandryRegarding your justice system point, yes, justice system is largely controlled by men, but justice system is controlled by the government which usually and specially on first world countries tries to protect women’s rights as much as possible even giving them biases so they can get their votes
I completely agree with you here I was just proving her aforementioned point wrong as it’s a shitty generalisationI get your point but just because one scenario (like women getting lighter sentences) is more prejudicial against men doesn’t mean much outside of crime since women are usually more prejudiced against daily by stats, just like that stat for men getting more harsh sentences.
I think that both of those cases are problematic and shouldn’t even exist
also, I’m not a misandrist and believe in equality for women AND men
But since misogyny is more prevalent than misandry in real life and we are living in a patriarchal society, misandry is not nearly as big of a problem as misogyny and I would say the exact same if we were living in a matriarchal society and misandry was more prevalent daily than misogyny and misogyny was mainly an online movement
because men are being drafted for war by MEN and millions of men die in war daily on both sides, the soldiers have no direct relationship with each other whatsoever and their government are the ones who are risking their lives
Didnt generalize the gender. I said men are seen as violent because of these incidents, not that they actually are.
False https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4589184/
the concept of anything mattering outside of first world countries lol
Also the study i just listed uses black and white americans
Never disagreed
So you admit it’s a nuanced political issue and not a direct result of women’s misandry
Yeah but homophobia is completely different. A better example would be heterophobia. Many gay people say they hate straight people but that doesnt make it true does itI'll be honest it's just kind of an oxymoron. I'm not going to debate a homophobic dude who says he's homophobic but doesn't actually hate gay people and that they don't treat gay people badly ngl.
Probably but they dont. Men see women online joking about misandry and hating men and immediately think its some big issueWe should use different terms to describe our ideologies perhaps.
Yes you won’t take my factual and statistically backed statement as a good argument because “I don’t lack a brain” I guess bro.No i was gathering images for spaniard
As for why im not replying to u i dont think you’re even vaguely worthy of arguing with since you lack a brain
They are both forms of prejudice?? Who gives a fuck ?? Verbal abuse is just as real as any other abuse. Also if they say they hate straight people they openly admitted to it there is no nuance to that lol? So it does make it trueYeah but homophobia is completely different. A better example would be heterophobia. Many gay people say they hate straight people but that doesnt make it true does it
Probably but they dont. Men see women online joking about misandry and hating men and immediately think its some big issue
Yep totally agreeDidnt generalize the gender. I said men are seen as violent because of these incidents, not that they actually are.
Yeah so 6.4% completed a r**e, not too far from what said
Yeah fairsthe concept of anything mattering outside of first world countries lol
Also the study i just listed uses black and white americans
No because this same mysandry can be directly represented on the government, on first world countries there is as much women as they do men ( taking Spain as an example 12 men, 10 women ) specially because in democratic societies the party who wins is the one who gets the more votes, so a political issue can be directly influenced by an ideology like its mysandry, that’s why like i said men are seen as oppressors on court even if there has been no gathered evidenceSo you admit it’s a nuanced political issue and not a direct result of women’s misandry
the perpetrator doesn't matter. If I am a man, and I get stabbed to death by a man, I am a victim of unjust violence. If I am a man, and I get stabbed to death by a woman, I am a victim of unjust violence. Who my perpetrator is does not change my victim status at all.because men are being drafted for war by MEN and millions of men die in war daily on both sides, the soldiers have no direct relationship with each other whatsoever and their government are the ones who are risking their lives
Why?It’s just utterly ridiculous to compare that to a man murdering his wife/girlfriend or men committing disgusting and violent crimes such as DV or murder against a woman for absolutely no reason
They do, they do not see that victim as the only victim of that crime, they see all women as the victim of that crime. A group they identify withalso, women don’t “identify” themselves with the victims of these disgusting crimes
I don't think any man identifies with the veteran identity unless they're a veteran themselfAnd yes, men DO identify themselves with soldiers who die in war, specifically veterans.
because men are being drafted for war by MEN
the soldiers have no direct relationship with each other whatsoever
and their government are the ones who are risking their lives
It’s just utterly ridiculous to compare that to a man murdering his wife/girlfriend or men committing disgusting and violent crimes such as DV or murder against a woman for absolutely no reason
